1 - Location
“Ammiraglio Reynaudi” castle, a historical and monumental building (under the historical, architectonic and artistic cultural Italian association)
Located in a small and medieval Bourg named “Costigliole Saluzzo” in the noble and antic historically Marchesato di Saluzzo who established his power for long time in this area.
The monument is located in south-west Piemonte Region (Cuneo Area). This is a real strategically geographic position! In one hour driving we find Liguria sea side, 2 hours driving to Montecarlo, 2 hours driving from San Remo, 1 hour driving from Turin.
Via Lattea (Sestriere), the main sky place where Olimpic games 2006 has been disputed, it’s at not more than 45 minute.
Torino, as we said it’s a not more than 1 hour driving, 2,5 hours driving to Milano. The closest Airport is Levaldigi 0,5 hours driving (where Ryanair is moving), Torino Caselle Airport needs not more than 45 minutes driving and Malpensa about 2 hours driving.

2 – Historical building information
The castle, actually named “Castello Ammiraglio Reynaudi” is locate where originally was created fort “Maniero” “defense building” with twice defense walls and 3 towers, connected by elevating bridge with other 4 towers.
First construction dated 1192, has been ordered by Gugliemlo Costanza who bought the fort from Marchesi di Saluzzo, that originally they received from King Bonifacio il Vasto.
The Fort strategically position, needed to control the transportation between Italy and France monarchy through the mountains. The fort have been seriously damaged from the king “Carlo I di Savoia” in the 1487, during the war against Ludovico II Marchese di Saluzzo
In the 1617 Giovanni Michele Crotti di Savigliano, began the reconstruction, finally ended by his son Admiral and Senator Leone Reynaudi, minister of Italian marine
3 – Building description
The Building drawing it looks like a “U” opened to the medieval age Bourg and to the Torino landscape.
The light and well equilibrated volume is due from windows dimension all around the castle and from the 2 square towers. The original round tower, with an eccentric lantern plan is giving to the complex a sort of fairy tale aspect, as well as the octagonal private chapel and the walls
Fantastic Italian Garden is present on front and right hand side castle.
4 floors are present in the building:
In the underground level still existing the store rooms “infernotto” “small hell” and secret prisons ;
At the ground floor are located fabulous living rooms with arch precious wood windows. From the ground floor it’s allowed to enter the garden, parking, yard, chapel, ecc;
At the first floor entry it’s located a beautiful and luxury room might be considered as welcome room, who we should pass trough before to enter in a historical hall more than 7 meters height, flag roof and a cumin over 2 meters height. 4 – Rebuilded area
To save the building structure some rennovation have been recently done.
Some of the roof structures has been completely remade because not utilized any more.
Building roof has been restored or rebuild using original materials.
The total amount already spent for the rebuild is 700.000,00 € (original invoices can be shown)
5 – RESTORING PROJECT
5.1 – DESCRIPTION
“Ammiraglio Reynaud” castle, as we already said, it’s a very big building destined in the history for free time monarch family use.
For this reason to utilize the castle as tourism luxury structure it’s very easy and reduce as minimal the modification in the original structure and it’s a warranty for a full and complete reutilization of the existing building. To maintain as much as possible the original building is increasing is value!
The main entrance to the building is located in the old yard above the Bourg; just over the entry the is located the cover terrace access, beside the Italian garden, on the from side building, with a full landscape view. Just inside the building the reception and a conference room for 30/40 persons, separated from the central building corp.
At the castle ground floor a lobby bar as “Italian caffetteria” optimized for a small business breakfast or small meeting.
In the main yard front side a beautiful and magnificent veranda glass fully covered would be a touch of Italian art, guarantee of the historic schema and a possibility for the most beautiful restaurant all over the Langhe area and not only.
At the south building area would be located 3 medium size reading or meeting room opened to the side garden area.
On opposite side kitchen and bath room find their original location..
Where historically the horses house where located we located now a wellness and spa with full services at exclusivity guest hotel wishes.
First floor access is located on north building from the noble room or from the lifter. On the south side the access to the suites would be done by the tower.
At the first floor, located to the main stairs arrival the luxury living and party room is showing is magnificent beautiful dimension and rich face, well served from a guard robe and luxury bathrooms and service. A kitchen on the opposite side would help in case of party or restaurant destination.
A mini suite and 2 suites are well located in the same floor.
Second floor has been optimized with one mini suite, 2 suites and The Royal Suite, with a 360° landscape view who will impress any guest in a magnify and luxury interiors.
On the underground level, where originally were stocked food and beverage, will be located a wine bar and a taste area where guest may enjoy the typical and traditional products.
The area located behind the castle will be use as a guest parking. It would be possible to use a part of the remain area as a swimming pool area having the access from wellness complex.
Private garden will be restored and utilize as originally as well as the private chapel.
5.2 – Architectonich and artistic restoring works
The building is well conserved and interiors are original and well safe from the time.
To prevent humidity while installing heating devices, all ceramics must be completely removed. Removing and stamping with original position number, it’ll give the chance to restore. To prevent any future movement and while removing them, it’s going to be create a “igloo” system who allow a breath area and it might be used to place electric, hydraulic and heating systems.
All new device will be fully integrate to keep the original historical atmosphere.
As well as per the floors, all roofs will be analyzed and all original painting would be restored and new will be created were not in condition to be kept.
Italian gardens will be reconditioned properly by all season flowers to return to the original magnificent .
